Skulls Unlimited, a globally recognized provider of osteological specimens, offers a wide range of skulls, skeletons, and other bones for educational, scientific, and personal use. Custom Software Lab collaborated with Skulls Unlimited to develop a modern cloud-based platform, replacing their existing systems to better manage orders, inventory, and optimize their operations.
Our solution enhances two critical workflows:
- Cleaning Orders: The platform tracks the entire cleaning process, from receiving skulls sent by customers to various stages of cleaning and ultimately shipping the cleaned product back to the customer.
- Purchase Orders: The system manages the acquisition of specimens from vendors, ensuring a seamless process from procurement to publishing products for sale on Shopify.
This platform has saved over 2000 hours in order processing time, significantly boosting efficiency.
Additionally, we developed a module to automate BoneBox shipments, a popular subscription service. The system pulls a weekly list of subscribers, auto-assigns items based on predefined logic, and exports shipping data for easy integration with shipping software.
By transitioning to this advanced platform, Skulls Unlimited has significantly improved operational efficiency and enhanced the overall customer experience.
