Autotronics is the UK’s leading vehicle service provider, offering a one-stop solution for in-circuit repairs: remote key fobs, instrument clusters, immobilisers, airbag modules, diesel pumps, ECUs, etc. The company has 20 years of experience in providing industry-best technical knowledge and high-end equipment to its broad base of customers. Autotronics is acclaimed for its R&D department committed to innovation and development in the auto repair industry.
Autotronics had a strong presence in the auto repair industry; however, they were losing a big chunk of business due to the absence of an eCommerce store. There was an urgent need to develop an online presence to take advantage of the digital revolution and changing customer perceptions.
To offer Autotronics’ customers an effortless buying experience, our web development team had to overcome a number of obstacles surrounding restrictive APIs. All of the customers’ pick-up are serviced through DHL shipping, and the website was required to pull in dynamic pick up date (dictated by customers). This required coordinating with the DHL support team to modify APIs to provide freedom to the consumer to schedule their convenient pick-up time of broken car parts.
Using Autotronics’ well-established brand identity as a jumping-off point, we started to establish a web design to reflect its attention to quality, improve its customers’ shopping experience, and offer a custom-developed filter tool. We firmly believe that generating sales online takes more than just an attractive website; it’s an ongoing process, and we need to continually find new means to make the customer experience fluid and seamless at all stages of the buying process.
