Zenith by Danco offers an innovative line of Pro & DIY demolition, restoration, and remodeling tools that helps users to accomplish remodel projects without damaging walls, floors, and cabinets like normal pry bar tools. Founded in 2016, the brand is a global supplier of maintenance, repair, and supply products. The brand is focused on offering home model and repair solutions that are affordable and help consumers undertake home remodeling jobs with utmost confidence.

Need:

In 2020, Zenith merged with Danco, one of the largest plumbing repair, replacement, and remodel suppliers in the home improvement industry, making the new company a leading global supplier of the highest quality Professional and DIY demolition tools.

Zenith came to us to redesign and rebrand the current website to meet the growing needs of its changing brand and customers. They needed a website that would help them accommodate the new guidelines set by the parent company, Danco, and aligning it with the weight of the Danco name and its strong reputation in the market.

Their current website was outdated and lacked cohesion with the Danco brand. They wanted our team of expert web developers and designers to create a web strategy that can strengthen their brand while elevating user experience.

Our team was excited to take up this challenge and design a brand new experience for Zenith By Danco’s customers and portray the real essence of their company.

Solution:

We were excited to offer our website development services to update Zenith Bt Danco’s digital presence challenge. We’re confident we could leverage our years of experience to create a modern site for them that will serve them for years to come.

During our Discovery phase, we focused a lot of our emphasis on 3 core pages: Product Pages, Video Tutorials, and Blog section. The landing page, video list, and detailed product descriptions were strategized for optimal engagement and iteration. The goal on the landing page was to introduce DIY and PRO remodeling customers to the usage of Zenith’s multifaceted products. The videos were designed to pull visitors in and encourage them to browse the products and understand their many uses. The detailed product pages were intentionally structured to provide an immersive experience with a clear path to the next step a customer needed to take.

Once the general framework was in place, we moved into the design phase, where our UX designers focused on the look and feel of the site. A significant part of the design phase involved aligning the visual look and feel of the site with Danco’s brand guidelines. Using these guidelines, we designed the website using the colors ‘red and black’ to be consistent with the rest of Danco’s marketing guidelines. The imagery, color options, iconography, and other critical design elements were designed to align with Danco’s brand identity to create a visually pleasing user interface.

With our goals clearly outlined, the next step was to create several wireframe prototypes to test out the different website flows. Here are some of the features we added to the website:

  • Responsive design: Designed the website using responsive technology so that visitors can experience website all types of device screens (TV, desktop, laptop, tablet).
  • Product pages: Designed, detailed product pages that highlighted the features, created curiosity and inspired them to buy.
  • Video tutorials: Incorporated video tutorials to keep people on the website longer and engage them with the content.
  • Before/After Photos & Videos: Created a library to help users upload Before/After Photos & Videos and inspire other shoppers by sharing their experiences.
  • Blog section: Created a blog section to get visibility with potential customers, establish authority, and drive targeted traffic.
  •  Site Architecture: Improve site architecture and navigation to enable easier browsing and a more frictionless experience

Result:

The new Zenith By Danco website is an excellent example of visual storytelling. The new website has a much stronger and clearer product story. The content evokes a desirable feeling of affinity from their product pages to video tutorials. The detailed pages and intuitive user flow have helped customers better understand the products and move through the sales funnel. 

We built a reusable framework that can be efficiently designed for each new product they develop. It’s easy for potential DIY enthusiasts to understand their brand and purpose.
