The Healthcare administrative staff of our client Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences was looking to optimize their patient intake process to manage better and organize the hospital experience for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Faced with several challenges like manual registration of patient information which involved a lot of paperwork, a tedious check-in process, and wasted time in coordinating between departments as the administrative staff had to move to a specific counter for patient information physically, healthcare departments were underprepared due to the lack of patient intake information.

Our client was looking for a solution in technology to manage this overwhelming process.

So, we at Custom Software Lab devised a capable android app that can be installed on mobile devices and tablets. The app makes it easy to coordinate with patients and doctors across departments while on the go, without having to be physically present at a specific counter.

In case of a follow-up consultation, once the patient reaches the hospital and the front office registers their arrival, by the time patients reach their concern department, their appointment is checked in, the doctor assigned and token printed. This feature makes for a hassle-free hospital experience.

Direct Check-In

Patients who want to visit multiple health care departments or return to a different department than the one previously visited would be directly checked in to the relevant department, saving a lot of time.

The application reduces the time required to coordinate with patients and doctors, as this application can be installed on mobile devices like tablets for patient information management, negating the need to be physically present at a specific counter for patients’ health information. Just a click on the barcode provides all the required details relevant to a patient, which helps coordinate patients’ movement inside the hospital much faster.

Patients also need not wait in a long queue for check-in to visit other departments like X-Ray/MRI or billing, as less paperwork is involved.
