LSP Products was founded by plumbers over 40 years ago, focusing on unparalleled innovation, superior product quality, and best-in-class service to the plumbing industry. The company’s primary focus is the construction market, delivering products that make installations easy and providing significant cost savings to plumbing/mechanical contractors. With an emphasis on quality, LSP products maintain a reputation for reducing installation time and cost.
Need:
The client reached out to us, wishing to build a new multifunctional web application showing all their product catalogs, making it easier for contractors and wholesalers to choose the right product and place an order for them. LSP products wanted to design a simple, intuitive layout that would facilitate them to add new products on the go while at the same time making it simpler for their clients to order them.
Solution:
During this kickoff, we defined which pages were most important for their target audience and the main KPIs for the design. One of the most important pages for the app was the Product Catalogue page. LSP Products needed a way to feature their current products with an attractive page and classified categories so that contractors could see all the products. From there, users could select specific products and add them to their respective projects, and directly mail it to the order team. Our digital road mapping research helped us clarify their business goals and their most pressing challenges.
Here are some of the features we added to the app:
- Flexibility: Users can now list their projects and add products to the project, sharing the list with anyone and facilitating easy sales orders.
- Cost-effectiveness: We used the Ionic framework to build the app. It is a cross-platform hybrid framework that allows us to build for android and ios simultaneously using one codebase.
- Contact form: An easy-to-use contact so general contractors can contact the team for any queries.
- Integrated the app with the website: Both iPhone and Android apps are directly linked with their site, so any products or categories added to the website are instantly updated on the app.
- Smooth performance: We ensured that it runs smoothly even with massive data.
Result:
The new app makes choosing and sending a quote for plumbing products a much easier task to complete. With website and app integration, Site admins can now add new products on their own, greatly enriching their efficiency and drastically reducing reliance on recruiting a new sales team. Salespeople can log on to see quotes and intervene when necessary. Everyone is more confident in accuracy and spends less time repeating manual tasks, reducing the opportunity for error.
