The client offers distributor services for technologies like Image Intelligence and Cyber Security to the government and other organizations. The manufacturers are the businesses that provide Image Intelligence and Cyber Security services, and channel partners are the government or other organizations that employ these services.

The client distributes two major services. They are;

Image Intelligence

Image Intelligence is the ability to extract meaning from images, detect patterns, and use that insight in conjunction with other data to make an identification and even prediction. Many industries employ image recognition as a capable element in identification and prediction.

  • The law enforcement department uses facial recognition to nab fugitives.
  • In gaming, advanced image intelligence technology allows gamers to use their actual location as a battlefield for virtual adventures.
  • Healthcare industry uses computer vision and image recognition techniques for microsurgical procedures.
  • Visual search engines use image recognition to provide users with the best search results. Google and Bing are great players in this field.

Cyber Security

Protects computer systems and networks from information disclosure, theft of, or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of their services. The field has become significant due to the expanded reliance on computer systems and wireless network standards such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and smart devices. The primary goal of cybersecurity is to ensure the system’s dependability, integrity, and data privacy.

The client wanted a common place where channel partners could directly meet manufacturers to place opportunities and deal registrations. The client portal is a business process automation tool for all things related to the client portfolio technologies designed to minimize manual work and improve productivity. In it is an ever-growing content library, manufacturer playbook, and opportunity and pricing management, including deal registrations. After the registration process, both manufacturers and channel partners have access to all functionalities of the client portal.

Here are a few functionalities;

Onboarding

Channel partners and manufacturers must register with the client to access the client portal; this is a simple process. For onboarding, the client invites the main admin, and after the admin is registered, anyone from the same domain can register, and they would be mapped to the main admin’s company.

The Dashboard

contains high-level information such as manufacturer and channel partner for the top 10 open registrations, open requests, open quotes, and open orders, and quick links in each widget to view detailed information. View all option is available to view the list of every single registration, request, quotes, and order registered with the client.

The Dashboard

Manufacturers Playbook

In the navigation pane to the left, you can find a link to Manufacturers, which provides detailed information about the manufacturer. This information facilitates channel partners to make informed decisions while choosing a manufacturer for their deals. The details include elevator pitch, Indicators of opportunity, Solution characteristics, Benefits to Customers, Targets, and Verticals. Use Cases for areas such as Identity Authentication, Data Protection, Cloud Security, Security Validation, Threat Intelligence, Network Defense, and portfolio content that resembles Wikipedia-level information about manufacturers are also made available to the channel partners. The client portal is made as transparent and informative as possible to benefit manufacturers and channel partners.

Channel Partner Details

Detailed information about channel partner businesses is made available in the client portal. Although the client lient portal is a confluence of channel partners and manufacturers, channel partners do not have access to details of all manufacturers registered with the client. The client decides channel partners have access to which manufacturers, the criteria for this happen offline. Still, in the portal, there is a provision, “Manufacturer Profile Access,” with the manufacturers that can be accessed by the channel partner.

Add New Opportunity

The channel partner registers an opportunity, a service the manufacturers offer. Here the channel partner can choose the manufacturer of their choice from a dropdown that lists all manufacturers registered with the client. There are provisions to choose the deal size, describe the opportunity, upload supporting documents, and justify registration. Because image intelligence and cyber security are areas prone to misuse, justification for deal registration is required.

Add New Opportunity

Quotes and Orders

Once an opportunity is evaluated by the manufacturer; they send out a quote for the opportunity registered by the channel partners. After negotiating the quote, channel partners and manufacturers come to a mutual agreement on a quote for the opportunity. After that opportunity becomes an order, and manufacturers work on delivering the orders to the relevant channel partners.

Quotes and Orders

Support Requests System

The client provides a dedicated support request system where channel partners and manufacturers can open tickets for any problems they face, and the client staff will resolve all requests at the earliest.

Two-Step Authentication

Implemented Google authenticator to prevent hackers from accessing the site and keep data secure. In addition to the password, a 2-step verification adds a quick second step to verify the user. 2-step verification is a proven way to prevent cyber attacks.

Reusable Template

Template designs are available for portfolios, use cases, and manufacturers playbook. These template design layouts can be saved and reused.
